Simon Houghton and Daniel Stettich are two really fucking talented musicians. Their new project called Arcadeon is all about interpreting 8-Bit video game music and those guilty pleasure Euro Trash anthems, using only an upright bass, an accordion and 808 drums. Or at least that’s how it all started. We were honored to be asked to create the logo for these fellas. To highlight the visual intensity of video games and the Ibiza sound of the 90s we decided to go with really bright, warm colors and to give the typography a bit of a retro future feel. The triangle form split into four parts represents the 4 strings of the upright bass and the folded bellows of the accordion.
