Wallpaiting refugee camp

44flavours — Colour Language

We were invited by a small festival called ‘Colour Language’ to paint a wall at the refugee camp located in Spandau–Berlin. Beautiful and extremely intense – that s the only way to describe this entire experience. The living conditions there are inhumane! but the people are truly beautiful. It was a sunny autumn day and we spent it making a colorful piece with the intention of lightening the place up a bit. We were surrounded by children from different backgrounds, cracking jokes and communicating with us using pantomime and simple gestures. There is a universal language y’all! Our crew consisted of Alex Klütsch, Manu Schibili, and Julio Rölle.
