What’s so special about the Graphic Design Festival, the one that took place in Scotland, in october 2014? And how is it any different, or possibly much better, than all the other design festivals out there? To be fair, we can’t say, at least not yet, as this was the first design-centric festival that we had attended as speakers and workshop “givers”. However, the experience of being there was truly a gift. Beth and James, the organizers of this beautiful event, are young and extremely lovely people and great hosts. When they contacted us, we had no idea that they were still studying. As a matter of fact, they only finished school 6 months before the festival properly kicked off. Now, who says that professionalism comes with age?

The two workshops we held were very successful. The brief for our first workshop was simple: to build a “jumping jack”.  The task for the two day workshop was to build an outdoor installation, one that should be located somewhere in the whiskey bond area.
