In Autumn of 2014, we were invited to Porto, to the Get Set Festival, to give a talk and to create some new work based around the theme: “embrace the unexpected”.  Apart from doing our thing on stage, we also met a host of wonderful people and got to properly recharge our batteries. A bit about Porto:

1. The city is extremely small, but very charming. Historical houses with those beautiful, old school signs, stand right next to abandoned lots and decrepit buildings. There’s a beautiful energy in the air – something very electric. It feels as if the crisis inspired and really galvanized the scene to take proper action, to change things. Our hosts, who go by the name of Get Set, are definitely a part of this new, vibrant movement.

2. The festival was great! It celebrated creativity all around: from architecture, through film, animation, music, installation art, all the way through to creative research. I’m not actively involved in a lot of these fields, but I enjoyed almost every talk and went home very inspired.

3. We met so many beautiful, heart-felt people there, that if not for Berlin, which we love so much, we’d move there at the drop of a dime.
If you guys have a chance to, and have a moment to spare, please book a flight to Porto and check it out! We had such a good time there that, apart from our talk, we didn’t really get any other work done. I’m sure we’ll be back there soon, though. We’d love to work in those gorgeous, abandoned spaces.
