When we first discussed putting a workshop together for the art school in Darmstadt, with our friend Patrick Oltean and his colleague Johannes Östringer, they told us that they also wanted to invite our common friend, Sebastian Haslauer, and the guys from Edition Taube – who we had met through our friends Patz and Hasi. Off the bat, we knew that this will be a fun crew to work with. When we finally got together to do this, we all decided to do something inspired by the Döner sandwich. The Taube boys went for a Döner print on bags, Hasi took the food sculpture route. We figured that it would be great to complete the formula by building our version of a Döner Stand, with the help of our students, of course.

When we were working on our installation, Patz and Hannes and their students kicked off a series of hand made posters, and even printed a newspaper documenting each day of the workshop. At the end we organized a party and sold real Döner sandwiches out of our stand. Mission accomplished. ;)
