Hello friends in and around Rennes, France: Please feel warmly invited to come and see the production of ULYSSIA, by the music group JeanJeanne next friday at the theater Pôle Sud at Chartre de Bretagne, next to the city of Rennes.
We’re working on our second residency for the creation since last monday.
I’m happy to be part of this project, which is at the same time my first stage design in a theater.

JeanJeanne donne la première de son spectacle “Ulyssia” le vendredi 29 janvier 2016 à 21h00 au Pôle Sud de Chartres de Bretagne, en sortie de deux semaines de résidence de création.

Aux confins du Krautrock psychédélique, de l’Inde-pop et de la chanson française, avec ses deux harpes électriques et son univers décalé en VF JeanJeanne est inédit, unique en son genre, nouveau.

ULYSSIA est la première création du groupe Jeanjeanne, composé de musiciens au parcours solide. C’est l’Odyssée barrée, de Brest à Berlin, d’une femme prise entre deux identités. Le voyage est périlleux et les épreuves se succèdent.

Nikolaz Cadoret et Alice Soria-Cadoret sont des fers de lance de la harpe électrique. Avec cet instrument ils peu- vent jouer tous les rôles: guitare lead, basse, clavier… et ils imposent un jeu et un son radicalement neufs. Deux harpistes virtuoses sous haute tension.

Cristine Merienne c’est une plume, une voix, toujours en recherche, jamais statiques. C’est aussi, tiens, une harpe, et quelle harpe, et puis un sens aigu de la mélodie, quoi d’autre… de la tendresse et des tripes.

Yvon Molard batteur et percussionniste issu d’une famille de musiciens de renom, impose une personnalité surprenante et attachante, un jeu rock puissant doublé d’une frappe d’orfèvre. Derrière ses fûts, il pose, impassible, les fondations du son de JeanJeanne.

Le plasticien Julio Rölle signe une scénographie inspirée du Groupe Zero, des formes graphiques, des jeux de lumières d’air et de matières.

We’re happy to announce our next solo show “theater of forms” at Hotel Schweizer Hof in St. Moritz. Earlier this year in February we were invited to the artists in residency program St. Moritz Sessions. We painted a mural, transformed a hotel room into our studio space and started ten new paintings, that we recently finished in our studio in Berlin. Please feel warmly welcome to be part of the opening celebration on Friday the 21st of August at 6pm at Hotel Schweizer Hof. We are more than happy to be invited to the St.Moritz sessions 2015.
After our friends Robot Koch and Haw-Lin took part at the artists in residency programm in the past two years, we were asked by Moritz at Amt für Ideen this time, if we would be interested to spent 8 days in St.Moritz to work and explore the surrounding at place. Of course we will enjoy the nature and hopefully we won’t break our bones while skiing/snowboarding ;)
